The mattress had a mauve silky type of covering and pillow to match the pleated fabric on the headboard and I took it off and cut it up for pillows and the throw (still not too sure about the throw...) I re-covered the mattress with ivory silk and then made the bedcover from a heavy damask with a quilted effect.
