default Quarter scale...aaaaggghhh!!

Post by miss amelia on Fri Feb 13, 2009 8:33 pm

well I finally got down to it and started work on what I hope will be a whole new range of hats and dresses in 1/48 scale. I have had the bed and night table kits sitting around for ages waiting to be made and I finally did them this morning so that I would have some furniture to make up a photo. Most of the dresses have had more work done to them and I've done some hats as well but the light has gone now so I'll post this picture for this evening. My head's gone now...scratch

It's 1 inch long Phyllis. I must admit it could be a bit 'out' for exact 1/48 but I don't use a pattern or anything so each one just comes out more or less. I sort of hover them around the tiny bed and see if they look right Very Happy The hats measure between 1/4 " and 1/2" across and have wired brims...I must be nuts!Shocked I've been doing them on and off all day

Wow. Wonderful as usual Janine. I dont know how you manage 1/48th. I find 1/12th taxing enough.

thanks Phyllis, I must admit I don't enjoy it as much and when the photos are enlarged I don't really like the way they look. It will be interesting to see if I actually sell any Rolling Eyes I have a couple of beds to dress this week in the same scale

I sent the first lot with a friend to the Madrid show but when I spoke to her at lunchtime they hadn't sold anything...hope it's not a bad sign - the last Madrid fair was the same! Sad
