default Junk Victorian Roombox

Post by Miniartworks on Fri Jan 30, 2009 4:01 pm

It's not finished yet but I'm so pleased with the pot plants I had to show them Very Happy

Everything is made from card, jewellery findings or scraps, even the sofa is made from a pair of old glasses!

The photo doesn't show how fine this plant is, it's only 1.5 inches high.

The chest of drawers made from card:

Still a lot more to do and I'm ditching the rug. I had a go and quilling and made the plant pots Smile

Maybe you would like the rug more if it was stuck down to the floor. It's a lovely rug - is it just that you don't like it curling up at the sides?. Excuse my ignorance, what is quilling?

Quilling is just coiling paper round pointed tweezers and then pushing it into shape - thats as far as I've got anyway, I imagine it could get much more complex. I do like the little pots as they are very light and surprisingly strong.
